Final: Anime, leger et nerveux Alec Hon is a senior at Columbia University, where he is majoring in Chemistry and concentrating in Music. At Columbia, Alec participates in the Music Performance Program as a chamber musician, where he has been selected to play in Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. Alec is currently the principal cellist of the Columbia University Orchestra, and has soloed with the orchestra at Lincoln Center as the winner of the 2017 Columbia University Orchestra Concerto Competition. Outside of Columbia, Alec has attended the Aspen Music Festival and School for multiple years, where he has been a fellow of the Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra. At Aspen, Alec has studied with Brinton Smith, Principal Cellist of the Houston Symphony, and Darrett Adkins, faculty of the Juilliard School. A winner of the Columbia University?s Music Performance Program?s Dolan Prize and Richard and Brooke Kamin Rapaport Summer Music Fellowship, Alec currently studies with Darrett Adkins. Harvey Wu is a rising senior studying Applied Physics at Columbia and a recipient of the Dolan Prize. He studies with Martin Canin. The new M@MF series presented in partnership with the Music Performance Program at Columbia University, featuring student musicians.
