Hayet Sellami

Hayet Sellami holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and an MA in International Relations (with a specialization in East Asia and Asia Pacific) from the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, EHESS-Paris) and the National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilization (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales – INALCO, Paris), respectively. Her research interests include migration and identity formation, the impacts of migration on societies, and philosophical theories and concepts of identity. She has extensive experience teaching French as a foreign language in various universities and institutions in the US, China and Taiwan, and has also taught courses on migration, international relations and diplomacy. Currently, she has expanded her explorations of identity into theater, and is currently working on Noh masks, their interpretation and usage on stage, and the concept of space and movement in theater.
